Like any other occupation, babysitting requires specific tools to maximize your abilities. This course teaches the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. Participants will learn how to be good leaders and role models; make good decisions, solve problems and stay safe; handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents, and write resumes and interview for jobs. Thanks to a special grant from Alcoa Fastening Systems we are able to offer this course at a significant discount.  Upon successful completion of all the course requirements, participants will receive a Babysitter's Training certificate. This course is intended for youths 11 - 15 years of age.

This course will teach those with a duty to act (Professional Resuers such as Lifeguards, Nurses, Nursing students and Camp Health Officers) the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. 

A two year certificate is issued at the successful completion of all course requirements.

The NEW American Red Cross CPR Made Simple non-certified course provides individuals with a one-hour overview of the critical skills that may help them save the life of a family member, friend or co-worker. In this simplified training, lecture is kept to a minimum so that participants can focus on hands-on practice of CPR/AED skills.

This course will train lay responders to overcome any reluctance to act in emergencies and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children until professional medical help arrive

             STUDENTS, THIS COURSE IS SPLIT INTO TWO NIGHT SESSIONS:

THE FIRST EVENING LISTED FOCUSES ON THE ADULT CPR/AED COMPONENT OF THE COURSE 

THE SECOND EVENING LISTED FOCUSES ON THE FIRST AID COMPONENT AND INFANT CHILD/CPR OF THE COURSE 

This course will train lay responders to overcome any reluctance to act in emergencies and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults,infants and children and first aid.

The course will also provide the lay responder with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and to minimize pain and the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives.

Includes skills and knowledge for Adult CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), Child and Infant CPR and First Aid.  Upon successful completion of course requirements certificates issued for Adult CPR/AED, Infant/Child CPR and Standard First Aid.

This course is designed to train instructor candidates to teach basic level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED courses for lay responders.
