Kingston, NY (January 5) 6:20 PM— The American Red Cross of Ulster County has given emergency aid to two families consisting of 4 adults and three children after a fire destroyed their home on Pine Grove Avenue in the City of Kingston today.
Disaster Action Team volunteers promptly arrived at the scene of the blaze and ensured the families were safe. The Red Cross has provided temporary shelter and financial assistance for food, warm winter clothing and medical supplies.
In the coming days and weeks, Red Cross volunteers will continue to work with those affected by today’s fire and to provide more aid if needed. Volunteers will also assist victims develop a post-disaster plan to get each started on the road to recovery.
