American Red Cross Closes Kingston Shelter

Flood waters have had minimal impact on homes

Kingston, NY - (March 24) - 9:10 a.m.- Under the guidance of local emergency management officials, the American Red Cross of Ulster County New York has closed the shelter operated at the Kingston Veterans of Foreign Wars on East Chester Street.  The shelter will be reactivated by the Red Cross if it receives guidance to do so from local emergency management officials. 


The Red Cross is actively seeking volunteers and financial donations to assist with disaster relief efforts in the county. For more information or to make a donation to support local, national or international disaster relief, call (845) 338-7020 or visit www.ulsterredcross.org
